Cost

Registration fee for accepted applicants: $125 faculty, staff, postdocs; $75 students*
Provided: Workshop materials, meals, and onsite lodging for three nights
Participant responsibility: Travel costs to and from APS*

*Students who require it may apply to BioCARS for limited financial assistance.

Dates

  • September 26 – Application and initial sample specification
  • ~October 3 – Acceptance notice sent
  • October 10 – APS registration due (new users only)
  • November 3 – Final sample specification (will be requested by organizers)
  • November 3 – Onsite housing reservations

For participants who have not worked at APS before:

2. Register as an APS user as soon as possible. Early registration is especially important if you are not a U.S. citizen. Because you will be doing hands-on work, APS registration and training are required.

3. Check that your institution has a APS user agreement. If it isn't listed, follow the instructions at that page to begin the process as soon as possible.

4. Pay registration fee. The registration fee is due in advance: for staff and postdocs, $125; for students $75. Payment can be made in one of two ways:
