Building Demeter for Windows with Strawberry Perl

Strawberry perl is magic! It will blow your mind. Somehow the elves behind this amazing package have figured out how to mix together enough perl and MinGW to make perl at the Windows command prompt work just like perl on a unix computer. Amazing!

1. Start by downloading the latest version of Strawberry from the link on the homepage: http://strawberryperl.com. Double click and let the installer do its thing.

2. Follow the instructions at ../IfeffitMingw for building Ifeffit and the Ifeffit SWIG wrapper on Windows with MinGW and MSYS.

3. Install the Windows git client from http://code.google.com/p/msysgit/

4. Now you can open up a Windows command prompt and follow the build instructions at ../InstallDemeterOnUnixWithGit. With Strawberry, it works just like unix. Amazing!
