Full size Gabe and a sadhu in Potter's square, Bhaktapur. I gave Gabe a 50 rupee note and sent him to give it to the sadhu. To my surprise and REALLY to Gabe's surprise, the sadhu grabbed Gabe in a bear hug and gave him a kiss.

Full size A public pond in Patan. These ponds are common both in the city and teh country side and used for bathing, washing, and drinking water. I snapped this shot since these kids seemed to be playing. Usually I found it disrespectful to take pictures on these communal ponds. In Nepal, it seems to be improper to display ones legs or (to a lesser extent) arms. Bathing in the ponds was one place where that taboo is dropped. Indeed, much activity considered quite private in the west happens quite openly in this environment.

Full size These girls watched me taking some pictures. After taking thiers I showed the shot to the girl in the front. It took her a moment to understand what she was looking at, but then she broke into gigles.
