Site Access
Site access to Argonne National Laboratory is allowed only with an ID badge or a visitor gate pass. To avoid delays and inconvenience, please arrange for access in advance of your visit. Gate passes can now be requested with a User Check in Form through the APS User Portal.
Gate passes may be picked up at the Argonne Information Center located just outside the Main Gate Guard House off Cass Avenue. The Center is open Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Central time). For visitors arriving when the AIC is not open, the pass may be picked up at the Guard House.
A gate pass alone does not permit a user unescorted access to the APS facility. Users must obtain either a temporary or permanent user badge for unescorted APS access.

24 hours a day, 7 days a week
West Gate (on Westgate Rd. off Lemont Rd.).
6:15 a.m.-7:10 p.m. M-F
East Gate (on Eastwood Dr. off Cass Ave.)
6:25 a.m.-9:15 a.m. M-F
and
3:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m. M-F
